June 20 (LTIT) –According to the survey, the operating rate of scrap copper rod enterprises in May was 54.44%, a decrease of 12.54 percentage points from the previous month and a decrease of 20.74 percentage points from the same period last year.

Some enterprises have reported that the current scrap copper market has performed the worst in recent years.

At the beginning of the year, due to the warming of the market, some enterprises resumed production, and domestic scrap copper supply is expected to shrink. Both of them have intensified the tight supply pattern of domestic scrap copper this year, resulting in higher scrap copper prices this year.

Whether it is the previous tax reduction or the Sino-US issue during the May period, the copper price has fallen, and the weakening of the consumption advantage of scrap copper has further pressured this year's scrap copper rod companies.
